تفاصيل القضية

On a cold winter morning, inside the basement of the 'National Museum of Antiquities', Dr. Jalal, the museum's chief curator, was found dead in his chair inside the 'Secret Archive Room' (Floor -2). The body was discovered at exactly 11:15 AM. There were no signs of violence or struggle; instead, he looked as though he had surrendered to a deep sleep with an ancient manuscript still in his hands.

The archive room is specially designed to protect sensitive manuscripts; it is completely isolated from the outside world and can only be accessed by unlocking a heavy steel door latch. The victim was known for his extreme strictness and for keeping blackmail files that could ruin the careers of his colleagues.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the crime occurred within a narrow time window. All five suspects were present in the building, and each harbored a deadly grudge against the victim. Investigators are baffled: How was the poison delivered to the victim? And when exactly did it happen amidst this complex timeline?

الأدلة والقرائن

6 دليل

A precise device inside the archive room to protect manuscripts from high frequencies. It automatically records any sound inside the room exceeding 40 decibels. The log shows intermittent sounds until 10:28 AM, after which it recorded 'total and continuous silence' (under 30 decibels) until the moment the room was breached to discover the body at 11:15.

A heavy steel door. Opening and closing its metal latch produces a sharp noise of 65 decibels inside the room. The door is 100% soundproof when closed, but if opened, even by a single centimeter, sounds from the outside hallway leak entirely inside.

An official document confirming: a routine fire alarm test was conducted in all museum hallways at exactly 10:40 AM. The speakers mounted in the outer hallway directly in front of the archive door emitted a deafening 110-decibel blare for a full minute.

Death resulted from drops of the rare 'Aconite' poison placed in the victim's espresso cup. The poison is colorless and odorless, causing silent paralysis of the respiratory muscles followed by death without any convulsions within 3 to 5 minutes of ingestion.

The machine used to brew the victim's coffee in the staff breakroom. Forensic examination proved the presence of 'human saliva' deliberately added to the water tank at around 10:15 AM, but the tank's water itself is completely free of any toxic substances.

A camera on the first floor. It showed a person matching 'Nader's' description sneaking around near the victim's main office at 10:30 AM looking for something, which contradicts his claim that he never left his office.
